M. Jayson Meyer, President & CEO

Mr. Meyer has 10 years of business development, information technology, and entrepreneurial experience.  He founded WorkSmart MD, Inc. in 2001 with the objective of putting more money into the hands doctors.  Mr. Meyer has an extensive information technology background which includes software development and systems engineering. Through his tenure with WorkSmart MD, Inc. he has directed the development of the HIPAA Rx software product for health care providers and served as a subject matter expert for the development of a practice management software system. In 2002 he launched the WorkSmart MD Billing division. Prior to founding WorkSmart MD, Inc. he was profiled on CBS 48 hours in June 2000 and, in November 2000, he was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show. Currently Mr. Meyer is responsible for the long term vision and growth of WorkSmart MD Billing.

L. Reid Jackson III, Advisor to the President/Partner

Mr. Jackson has over forty-years of business development, information technology, and entrepreneurial experience.  Since 2000 he has been aiding health care professionals meet the administrative and technical requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. 

Prior to his involvement with WorkSmart MD Billing, Mr. Jackson directed the planning, development, and marketing of a highly specialized software product for health care providers.

Before a medical billing specialist candidate is hired  they are given a series of skill and personality tests to insure that they have the proper skills, motivation, work ethic and attitude to be an outstanding Medical Billing Specialist.

Training

After a Medical Billing Specialist is hired they go through a series of initial trainings to understand the WorkSmart MD medical billing process and technology. In addition, they are given on-going training in medical billing issues and techniques.

WorkSmart MD Billing uses the latest technology to enable our billing specialists to focus their efforts on the tasks that will provide the most value to our clients. They are freed from  the busy work and error correction that takes up time in common billing companies.
